Description

21 Hungate is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys tall. It is rendered and features a Welsh slate roof with kneelers and stone stacks at the gable ends. The building has a plinth and three windows with lintels, which do not have glazing bars. On the ground floor, there are two windows and a double door made up of six fielded panels, which is set back beneath a rectangular fanlight. A flat hood supported by console brackets covers the door, and there are three steps leading up to it.

The Forest Vale Hotel and wall form a group with the adjacent properties, including Nos 1 to 7, 9 to 15, 17 to 22, 24 to 26, No 26A, and No 27, of which Nos 7, 9, 10, 22, and 24 are noted for local interest.
