Description
34 Hungate is an 18th-century house that stands two storeys high, constructed from coursed stone and topped with a pantile roof featuring coped gable ends and kneelers. The front has one smaller casement window and three hung sash windows with glazing bars, all set beneath lintels. On the ground floor, there is a carriage archway to the left, along with two hung sash windows with glazing bars. The entrance features a panelled door beneath a rectangular fanlight made up of three panes. The house is also notable for its three brick stacks. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 29 to 31, Pickering United Reformed Church, the railings and gates in the courtyard, as well as Nos 33 to 47 and Nos 49 to 52.
