Description
No 2 West End is a shop with a flat above, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone with a pantile roof and brick stacks. The building has a direct-entry plan that is two rooms deep, featuring an outshut. It stands two and a half storeys tall and has a two-window front. The entrance consists of a centre hall-glazed, panelled door set within a shop front that is framed by pilasters. To the left is a shop window divided by a slender, shaped colonnette. On the right, there is a shallow bow window with glazing bars and two fixed lights, along with 16-pane sash windows that have heavy milled lintels on the first floor. The attic storey has squat blind sash windows with painted glazing bars. The building features end stacks.
