Description

This is a house, dating from the mid-18th century, with possible earlier origins, and altered in the 19th century. The front and sides are built of coursed squared limestone on a rubble plinth, while the rear is of rubble limestone. The roof is pantiled, with a rebuilt brick stack. Originally a single-cell direct-entry plan, it now presents as a two-storey building with a single window to the front. Raised quoins are visible. A four-panel door is located on the right side, alongside 12-pane sash windows to both the ground and first floors. All openings feature raised surrounds with projecting key blocks. A raised first floor band and a coved eaves course are also present. The left gable has a coped gable with shaped kneelers and a single stack.

Inside, a re-used staircase at the rear has turned balusters, a continuous moulded newel and a moulded handrail. A 18th century wall cupboard with two raised and fielded panel-led doors is located in the front room on the first floor.
