Description

This is a milepost from the early 19th century, made of cast iron and standing approximately 80 centimetres high. It has a triangular shape with a sloping top panel that is hollow backed. The top panel is inscribed with "LEEDS 19". The left face of the milepost indicates "HARROGATE 4" with a hand pointing to the right, while the right face shows "RIPON 7" with a hand pointing to the left.
