Description

This is a milepost located at the corner of Green Lane, dating from the mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and has a triangular shape with a sloping top, standing approximately 60 centimetres high. The milepost features inscriptions indicating distances: the top reads "LEEDS 20", the left face shows "HARROGATE 5" with a hand pointing to the right, and the right face displays "RIPON 6" with a hand pointing to the left.
