Description

The stables to Crakehall Hall, built in the early to mid 18th century, are constructed from rubblestone with brick dressings and feature a plain tile roof. The building has two storeys and consists of ten bays, with the right-hand bay being a later addition. It has brick quoins on the left side and to the left of the right-hand bay. There is a board door located in bay five, while bays one, seven, eight, and nine have 20th-century double board doors. The right-hand bay features a board door with a 20th-century casement window to the right. The ground floor openings of the central seven bays have 16-pane sash windows with stone sills, and these openings are topped with flat brick arches that have raised keystones. On the first floor, the right-hand bay does not have any openings, while the other bays contain louvred openings with four-pane overlights, all also featuring flat brick arches with keystones. The roof is hipped to the left, with an end stack on the right.
