Description
These stables, built in the 18th century, are located approximately 15 yards northeast of Hall Croft Farmhouse. They are constructed of red brick and feature a plain tile roof. The building is one storey high and has four roof bays. There are five casement windows with segmental heads: two on the left, two on the right, and one in the center, which has a boarded opening above it. To the left and right of the center, there are boarded doors with segmental heads, and there are also blocked doorways on both sides, with the left one containing an inserted window. Wooden steps lead up to a door on the left gable. To the right, there is a low stable extension with two stable-type doors. Inside, the stables feature a king-post roof truss with curved braces that extend from the king-post to the curved principals, along with straight wind braces.
