Description
Thorn Tree Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid-18th century, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of red brick and features a plain tile roof with brick off-ridge stacks. The building consists of two parallel ranges aligned north-west to south-east, with the main front facing south-east. It has two storeys and an attic, with floor bands on the left-hand bay. The facade includes two gabled bays connected by a valley parapet, and features casements with segmental heads. There is a door to the left of a central straight joint, which replaces an earlier door that had a segmental head. To the right, there is a single-storey lean-to extension with a door. The south-west elevation has two bays, with glazing bar sashes on the left and a 20th-century casement on the ground floor right, which has replaced an earlier window with a segmental head.
