Description
Holly Cottage and Old Cottage is a building that was originally one house but is now divided into two cottages. It dates from the mid to late 18th century and has undergone some later alterations. The structure is made of rubblestone and features a pantile roof. It stands two storeys high and has three bays, with an additional bay added to the right, making each cottage consist of two bays. The building has quoins and a board door to the right of the two left-hand bays, while there is another board door to the left of the right-hand bay. The two left-hand bays contain 16-pane sash windows, while the right-hand bays have 20th-century three-light casements. On the first floor, the two left-hand bays feature unequally hung 12-pane sash windows, and the bays to the right also have 20th-century three-light casements. The building is topped with shaped kneelers, stone coping, and has brick stacks at the ends.
