Description
Nos 1 and 3 Chapel Street are a pair of houses built in the mid to late 18th century, with some later alterations. They are constructed from magnesian limestone ashlar and feature a pantile roof with brick stacks. The buildings are two storeys high and have two first-floor windows. There is a plinth, and steps lead up to the end entrances, which have 6-panel doors topped with radial fanlights that include glazing bars in recut surrounds. Each house has two bow windows with 12-pane sashes in the centre and 4-pane lights. On the first floor, there are 18-pane and 4-pane sash windows with cills. A plain band runs above the windows, and there is a moulded eaves cornice. The roofs are flipped, and there are central stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
