Description

These are two gateways located 20 metres south of Snape Castle. They date to the 18th century and are constructed of ashlar. Each gateway features piers that are square in plan, topped with a cornice and a blocking course. The piers retain evidence of a base that originally supported urns. The gateways were formerly listed as The West gate and The East gate.
