Description

No. 22 Market Street is a stable block that has been converted into a workshop. The building dates from 1839, as indicated by the datestone that reads "E H/1839". It is constructed of roughcast stone and features a slate roof. The structure is two storeys high with a basement and consists of three bays. The ground floor has 20th-century windows in the second and third bays. Each bay has a pitching eye, with two being boarded and the one in the third bay being glazed. There is an elliptical-headed entrance with a rusticated opening and paired doors, with the datestone positioned above it. Access to the basement is provided by a ramp on the left side.
