Description
No. 2 Fye Bridge Street is a building that dates from the 17th century, with alterations and additions from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. Originally of unknown use, it is now a workshop. The structure is made of flint and brick, topped with a corrugated iron roof. It has an L-shaped layout, with the 17th-century section running parallel to the street and a 19th-century extension at a right angle. The building is two storeys high. The east facade from the 19th century features four windows on the first floor, with a door located at the extreme right and off-centre to the left. The west facade displays a scattered arrangement of windows, including 6- and 7-light frieze windows that have elaborately moulded mullions. The south gable was added in the 20th century. Inside, there are chamfered and stopped ceiling beams on both the ground and first floors.
