Description

No. 43 Market Street is a house, likely built in the early to mid 18th century. It is constructed of roughcast stone and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features two bays. The windows are sash style, with single glazing bars and horns. The central entrance consists of a six-fielded-panel door, which has two glazed panels, and is set within a 19th-century open porch that has roughcast sides and an ornate timber gable. There are limestone stacks at the gable ends. The return side of the house has two small windows, while the rear includes a small-paned stair window. Outbuildings to the left are not included in the listing and are no longer listed.
