Description

The Market Cross in Flookburgh is a stone structure dated 1882, although its base and steps are likely older. It features three square steps and a moulded base that includes an inscription noting market charters from 1278, 1412, and 1659, indicating the historical significance of the site. The cross itself has flat faces and ornamentally splayed ends, with a pierced lozenge at its center.
