Description

This is a barn located west of Strickland Hall, dating from the mid-18th century. It features mixed limestone and sandstone rubble walls topped with a graduated greenslate roof. The barn is long and single-storey, with an off-centre cart entrance and slit vents on the farmyard side. The rear, which faces the road, has a blocked central doorway and a boarded opening to the left, along with two levels of slit vents. There is a front lean-to extension made of corrugated iron and lower right extensions that are not of interest. The barn is listed for its group value with Strickland Hall.
