Description
High Hall is a farmhouse dated 1600, as inscribed on the fireplace lintel. It features painted roughcast walls and is topped with a graduated greenslate roof that has limestone chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays. There is an off-centre 20th-century door set in a Tudor-arched surround. The windows include three-light stone-mullioned windows, a two-light window above the entrance, and a small firewindow to the left of the entrance. The right side of the building has two small attic windows. Inside, there are two 17th-century fireplaces, both displaying the Crackenthorpe coat-of-arms; the later fireplace is undated but inscribed with "C & BC DEUS VERUS." Additionally, there is a spiral stone staircase.
