Barn north-west of Whitrigg

Barn. Late C18. Mixed sandstone and cobble rubble walls, with red sandstone V-jointed quoins, under graduated greenslate roof with coped gables and kneelers. Large multi-bay barn with loft. Large projecting central and left cart entrances, with slit vents on 2 levels between. Left pent extension and right plank doors in quoined surrounds under loft doorway. Left return wall, which is parallel with the front of the house, has an oval gable vent. Rear C20 extensions are not of interest. Listed for group value with Whitrigg.
