Description

The Hope and Anchor Public House is a public house located on the north side of Daltongate in Ulverston, likely built in the late 18th century. It features a painted roughcast exterior and a slate roof, standing three storeys tall with three bays. The windows have painted stone surrounds, with the upper floors showcasing glazing bar sashes. On the ground floor, the windows are offset to the right; the left window is a 6-pane top-opening casement, while the right window is sashed, beneath which there is a cellar opening. The central bay, also offset to the right, contains a door made of six raised and fielded panels, framed by a painted stone surround.
