Description
No. 3 Market Place is a shop with accommodation above, dating from the mid-19th century, likely incorporating elements from the 18th century. The building features painted render and a slate roof. The east gable wall, which faces Market Place, is two storeys high plus an attic and consists of two bays. The ground floor has a timber shop front with a recessed doorway on the right. The first-floor windows are sashed with painted surrounds and projecting sills. The attic windows have similar surrounds, but these are either casements or fixed. The gable verges project on brackets, and a red brick chimney cap is located at the apex. The right-hand return wall, which adjoins the Farmers' Arms, includes a doorway and a window with a painted surround.
