Description
Number 117 is a house that was rebuilt in 1811, possibly as an inn, for Samuel Greenhow. The building features hammer-dressed blocks on a plinth and has an eaves cornice. It has a graduated slate roof with stone chimneys at both ends. The structure is symmetrical, consisting of three storeys and four bays. On the left side, there is a part-glazed door with a semicircular fanlight set back, featuring panelled reveals. To the right, there is a semicircular-headed entrance to the yard, which includes a 20th-century door in a surround with panelled reveals. The windows are sash style, with 16 panes on the first floor and 12 panes on the second.
