Description

Mint Cottage is a house that was built in 1821, as indicated by the initials and date inscribed in Roman lettering on a panel on the east side. The building has undergone later additions and alterations. It features rendered rubble with a stucco band at the first floor and has graduated slate roofs along with rendered chimneys. The house is two storeys high and has a symmetrical main block with three bays. The entrance consists of a 20th-century glazed door set in a semicircular-headed surround, with segment-headed sash windows in recesses on either side and three sashes above. There is a 20th-century single-storey extension to the left and a lower two-storey wing to the right, which may have been a former outbuilding, featuring a French window and a 20th-century casement window on the first floor.
