Description
Biggins Cottage and the attached outbuilding date from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The cottage is two storeys high, constructed of rubble with a slate roof and features three chimneys. It has a symmetrical three-bay composition with quoins and an eaves cornice. The windows have plain stone surrounds and are sashed with all glazing bars. The doorway is adorned with a cornice supported by cut consoles and features a six-panel door. To the left, there is a one-bay extension that originally had a yard entrance, now filled with a window and door. The attached outbuilding, located at the front left, is also two storeys tall, made of squared coursed watershot rubble, and has a slate roof with quoins. It contains two sashed windows on the ground floor, two small louvres on the roof, and a small round-headed opening in the gable.
