Description

Biggins House is an early 19th-century building of two storeys. It is constructed of dressed stone with a slate roof and features two chimneys. The building has a plinth, chamfered rusticated quoins, a sill band, and a cornice. The windows have plain stone surrounds and are sash windows with all original glazing bars. The front door is accessed via a stone porch with Doric columns, pilasters, and an entablature, and features a five-panel door with glazing at the top. A cast iron verandah of three bays is located to the left-hand side. A later extension of three bays has been added to the right, built in a similar style but with a pebble-dashed finish and a stone panel carved with a coat of arms. 19th-century walls and gatepiers separate the property from the road.
