Description
Nos 1 and 3, known as Nether Riggs, is a 17th-century building that has undergone later alterations. It is two storeys high and constructed of rubble, with some areas plastered. The roof is covered with slate and there are three chimneys. The eastern part features chamfered and rebated stone mullion windows on the south side, each with individual hoodmoulds. Originally, there were four, three, and two-light windows, but all have lost their mullions. The two-light window closest to the gable is said to be a fire window. The north side has been altered and strap-pointed but still retains a small single light window. The western part, No 1 (Nether Riggs), is of the same construction but has also been altered.
