Description

Low Cottage and its attached outbuilding date from the late 18th century and early 19th century. The front of the cottage is made of red brick, which has been painted white, and it features a concrete pantile roof with two red brick gable stacks and dog tooth eaves. The building is one and a half storeys high and has three bays arranged in an L-plan. The central doorway has a panelled wooden door with a wooden surround, and it is flanked by single glazing bar sash windows. Above the door are two smaller sash windows of the same style.

To the left of the cottage, there is a 20th-century painted brick garage extension. At the rear, there is a late 18th-century wing made of dressed coursed rubble, also with a concrete pantile roof, which is one and a half storeys and has a single bay. This wing features a single red brick gable stack, a single glazing bar Yorkshire sash window on the ground floor, and a similar sash window above.

Attached to the rear left of the cottage is a late 18th-century outbuilding made of dressed coursed rubble with some red brick, which has a pantile roof and is single storey plus garret, with a single bay. It includes a single glazing bar fixed light with red brick infill beneath. To the right, there is a 20th-century brick and pantile lean-to with a doorway. The left garret has a single window opening.
