Description

Clover Cottage is a house, originally two cottages, dating to the middle and late 18th century. It is located on Greenway in North Carlton. The building is constructed of dressed coursed rubble, with pantile roofs and includes two red brick gable stacks. The main section of the cottage, dating to the late 18th century, is two storeys high and has three bays. The central doorway has been blocked and replaced with a single glazing bar fixed window. Flanking this are single glazing bar Yorkshire sash windows, all with flush splayed lintels and keystones. Above are three glazing bar Yorkshire sash windows. The cottage to the right, dating to the lower mid-18th century, has a 20th-century stone-coped gable. This section is also two storeys high and has three bays. A central gabled porch with a panelled door provides access. To the left of the porch is a single glazing bar casement window, and to the right a single tripartite glazing bar casement. Above, there is a smaller single tripartite casement window.
