Description

These are a pair of cottages, built in the late 18th century. They are constructed of dressed coursed rubble with a pantile roof, stone coped gables, and kneelers. There is a single central stack of red brick, rendered, and the ridge of the left-hand cottage, number 72, is slightly higher. The cottages are two storeys high and have four bays.

On the front, from left to right, are a doorway with a part-glazed door and a panelled wooden surround and cornice, a single 20th-century glazing bar sash window, a doorway with a half-glazed door and a similar surround, and a single glazing bar casement window. Above, number 74 has a single 20th-century glazing bar casement on the right, while number 72 has two glazing bar Yorkshire sash windows.

At the rear of number 72 is a lower, two-storey, single-bay rendered wing.
