Description
This is a cottage and outbuilding from the early 19th century, located at a road junction opposite Rose Cottage. The building is constructed of brick, with the lower half of the wall facing the road made of coursed gritstone. It has a plain tiled roof featuring two brick chimneys: one at the gable end and another at the division between the house and the outbuilding. The cottage is double fronted and has a single-bay outbuilding, with a break in the brickwork separating the two. The central doorway is flanked by large square glazing bar sash windows with side lights and very small panes. The flat rendered lintels above the windows add to the design. On the first floor, there are three similar but slightly smaller windows that rise to the eaves, which are decorated with a course.
