Description

A house, originally one dwelling, now two, dated 1637. It is located on the north side of Main Street in Lower Holker, near Flookburgh. The building is constructed of roughcast stone with a slate roof. It is two storeys high and has three bays. The windows are sash windows with vertical glazing bars and horns, with a paired sash window in the central bay on the first floor. The entrance features moulded jambs and a dated embattled lintel with a label mould, now with a 20th-century panelled door. There are gable-end stacks. The right return side has a two-light, single-chamfered-mullioned window with a cornice, and a similar single light. At the rear is a wide gabled wing with single-storey re-entrant blocks. A datestone reads "I A/1637".
