Description

Lilac Cottage Restaurant is likely an early 18th-century house. It is constructed of roughcast stone with a slate roof. The building has a symmetrical plan, with a central entrance. It is two storeys high and has three bays. The windows are casements. A gabled porch shelters the front entrance, and the inner door is glazed and panelled. Gable-end stacks are present. At the rear is a lean-to outshut. The interior features a fielded-panelled partition wall with a dado rail, one two-panel door with a dado, some plank and muntin partitioning, an ovolo beam and a six-panel door, and a staircase with square newels.
