Description
Newby Cottage Row is a cottage dated 1675, featuring the initials F.W. on the door lintel, with some later alterations. The building has slobbered rubble walls and a graduated slate roof. It stands two low storeys high and has two bays. On the right side, there is a part-glazed door set in an architrave, with an ornate lintel that displays two shields side by side, containing the initials and date split between them, along with a console at either end. To the left, there are sash windows in dressed stone surrounds on each floor. A brick chimney is located at the end of the cottage.
