Description
The gate piers and front and return walls to the Church of St Laurence are large and rusticated, located to the west of the church. The gate piers feature square, corniced capitals topped with stepped ball finials. The top course of each pier has a badly weathered inscription on the east face, with only the date 1723 remaining legible. The front and south return walls are constructed of coursed rubble and include an initialed and dated lintel above a moulded door surround, which reads: W.N. M.W. 1714.
