Description
The outbarn located to the southeast of Spring Bank Farmhouse is a bank barn, likely built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from rubble, primarily limestone, and features a slate roof. The entrance to the barn is on the north side and has a segmental arch. The left-hand (eastern) gable wall includes three shippon doorways with plain reveals, while the right-hand gable wall has a small window opening. The rear wall contains a door and a small window, both with plain reveals, as well as a threshing door above.
Inside, the shippon has timber stalls and a central feeding passage. The barn roof is supported by two bolted king post trusses.
