Description
This is a row of seven shop premises with flats above, built in the late 19th century in Grange-over-Sands. The buildings are constructed of snecked limestone, with roofs that are mostly covered in slate, although some have been replaced with tiles. Each shop features two window bays and two main storeys, along with a single window on the second floor that rises into a gabled attic dormer. The windows are sashed, equipped with projecting sills and plain reveals, while the dormer windows have segmental heads. The right-hand shop includes a canted corner doorway. Timber brackets support the gutters, and the eaves step down to the right of the third shop. The first and second shops from the left retain timber shop fronts that appear to be mostly original. There are chimneys located on the party walls, and a three-window range is visible on the right-hand return under the gable.
