Description
Fern Cottage is a house from the mid-19th century located on Main Street in Grange-over-Sands. It features painted roughcast walls and a slate roof, standing two storeys high with a symmetrical two-window arrangement. The windows are 20th-century casements set in narrow painted surrounds. The front door consists of two glazed panels above four raised and fielded panels, framed by a rendered surround. A timber trellis porch with shaped bargeboards enhances the entrance. A chimney with a limestone cap is situated on the left-hand gable. Fern Cottage adjoins Rose Cottage on the right.
