Description

This is a mid-19th century house located on Cart Lane, Grange-over-Sands. Built of rubble, mostly limestone, with rock-faced limestone dressings and a slate roof, it has two storeys. The south facade, facing Carter Road, has a three-window arrangement. The windows are glazing bar sashes with plain reveals and projecting sills. The central ground-floor bay and the right-hand first-floor bay feature blind recesses. A chimney is positioned on the left-hand gable. The roof is hipped on the right-hand side. The east-facing return wall, facing Cart Lane, is similarly detailed. The front door, in the left-hand bay, is a four-panel flush design with plain reveals. A chimney is located on the right.
