Description

Fellgate is a late 17th-century house located on Cartmel Road, Grange-over-Sands. It is a two-cell building, originally with a three-window front. The exterior is roughcast with painted stone dressings and a slate roof. The ground floor windows are mullioned, with one of three lights to the left of the porch and windows of four and two lights to the right. First-floor windows are mullioned, comprising three, two, and one lights respectively. A gabled stone porch, of single-storey construction, is situated centrally. There are chimneys on both the left and right sides; the right-hand chimney has two rounded caps on square bases, while the left-hand one has a single rounded cap. A sympathetic, one-bay addition was constructed in the 20th century on the left-hand side. The interior has not been inspected.
