Description
The bandstand in Park Road Gardens, located in Grange-over-Sands, is believed to have been built in 1895 and was extensively restored around 1990. It is constructed from cast iron and features a zinc pagoda roof. The bandstand has an octagonal shape and is surrounded by a lily-pond moat, with a bridge on the west side. The structure is supported by columns set on limestone kerb stones, which are connected by low iron railings and curved brackets that create elliptical arches adorned with foliage spandrel decoration. At the top of the roof and at each corner, there are ornamental finials. Originally, the sides of the bandstand were glazed, but the timber window frames and glass were removed during the restoration.
