Description

This is a former bank, built around 1905, and later converted into a single dwelling in 2020. It is located on Main Street, Grange-over-Sands. The building is constructed of snecked sandstone with ashlar dressings and a stone slate roof, and is designed in a Tudor style. The front has a single storey, with a basement at the rear. Features include a plinth, a string course above the windows, and a moulded eaves course. The windows are mullioned, with double hollow chamfers. To the left are windows of one and three lights, with a corbelled chimney rising between them. A gable on the right features coping and a finial, with a three-light window and a moulded Tudor-arched doorway. The right-hand return wall also has mullioned windows and a chimney rising between two gables, along with a corbelled chimney to the right. The rear gable of the rear wing has two windows of two lights with transoms.

The interior is said to contain a timber roof, three large stone four-centred arches supported by brackets, a Gothic fireplace with a castellated canopy, and panelled walls.
