4/92 Barn 40m to south east of Penvith - Farmhouse

GV II

2 bank barns probably comprising shippons and stable with threshing floor and hayloft above. Now used as calveshouse and store. Circa early C19. Stone rubble with rag slate roof to barn on left with half-hipped ends. Barn to right with lower rag slate roof with gable ends. Barn to left with asymmetrical 2-storey elevation with 3 shippon door openings below dressed stone segmental arches. Wider opening between first and second opening with similar dressed stone arch. 2 openings above with timber lintels. 2 double doors to rear. Barn to right, symmetrical 2-storey elevation with 2-window openings with dressed stone segmental arches with stanchion bars. Wide central door opening with similar segmental dressed stone arch. Plank door above in first floor. Pigeon holes below eaves. Interior with stalls replaced. Included for group value with farmhouse forming integral part of farmstead.
