4/41 Barn lOm to south east of Higher - Wringworthy Farmhouse

GV II

Bank barn with shippon on ground floor and threshing floor above and probably stable to left. Circa 1840s. Stone rubble with slate-hung right-hand gable end. Cement- washed scantle slate roof with gable ends and lower scantle slate roof to range on left. Rectangular plan with ramp up to first floor opening on rear. 2 storeys asymmetrical front; ground floor openings with dressed stone segmental arches. Left-hand range with plank door on left and window opening to right with first floor window near centre. Main range with plank door on left, 2 windows flanking wide partly blocked opening to left of centre and 2 wide door openings to right. First floor with double threshing doors near centre of elevation with window opening to left in dressed stone arch, 2-light window opening with shutters below eaves to right and row of pigeon holes below eaves to left. Stone rubble ramp to double threshing door on rear. Interior not inspected. Included for group value with Higher Wringworthy Farmhouse (qv).
