Cottage. Circa mid Cl9. Snecked stone rubble with slate roof with gabled ends and rendered stone rubble flanking wings with lower slate roofs with hipped ends. Rendered brick chimney stacks on gable ends of main range. Central range of 2 room and cross passage plan flanked by two 1-room wings and outshut containing service rooms to rear. 2-storeys symmetrical 3-window front with central range set forward and all windows with original mid C19 casements complete with glazing bars; ground floor with two 2- light casements with moulded frames in deep chamfered openings flanking central plank door in C19 open snecked stone rubble porch with lean-to slate roof. Stone string course above ground floor. First floor with two 2-light casements with moulded frames flanking central 1-light casement. Flanking symmetrical 2-storey wings with entrances in angle with main range. Left-hand entrance with C19 part glazed door with margin glazing bars in rendered gabled porch. Interior not inspected. The C19 front elevation of Braydown Cottage remains unaltered and the fenestration complete.
