Description
This small outbuilding, located 15 west of Murrayton, dates from around 1856 and is likely contemporary with Murrayton House, which was designed by its owner, William Murray. The structure is built from stone rubble with brick dressings and features a rag slate roof with gable ends. It has a rectangular plan and is a single-storey building. The front has a door opening on the left, which has a renewed 20th-century doorframe. To the right, there are two window openings with 4-centred arches and rubbed brick dressings, including an original window on the left that has Gothic glazing bars. There is also a door opening between the windows, set below a timber lintel. Inside, the space is divided by low timber partitions.
