Description
Littlebeck Cottage, which includes an adjoining byre, is a house likely built in the early to mid-18th century, with later alterations. The structure is made of rendered rubble and has graduated slate roofs. It has a 'T'-shaped plan with a wing at the rear and stands two storeys high. The house features three bays, while the byre has two. The central entrance consists of a plank door set in a gabled surround. On the left side, there are two windows on each floor; these were originally three-light mullioned windows but have been altered to two-light windows with inserted sashes after the removal of one mullion. The byre to the right has a plank door and two small windows above it, along with stone steps leading up to the plank door on the return side. The building is topped with two rendered chimneys.
