Description
Peaslands Farmhouse is a house dated 1707, with later alterations and 19th-century additions to the rear. It is constructed of coursed, squared rubble with quoins on a plinth, and features a graduated slate roof with copings and kneelers, along with corniced stone end chimneys. The building has two storeys and was originally five bays wide. A late 19th-century gabled wooden porch leads to a plank door, which has an original cavetto surround and a dated lintel with a cornice. There is a single wide 19th-century window with glazing bars on either side of the door, and some blocked original windows remain. A continuous hoodmould with labels is present above the first-floor windows; of the original five mullioned two-light windows and fire window, only four remain glazed, and their mullions have been replaced by Yorkshire sashes. The adjoining late 19th-century outbuildings are not included in the listing.
