Description
No 7 Yard 17 is a cottage, now functioning as a shop, likely built in the late 18th century or early 19th century, with later additions and alterations. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with quoins and features a graduated slate roof with a stone chimney located at the north end. It has three storeys and a cellar, with two bays. The west elevation includes a 20th-century part-glazed door, and there is a second door above that appears to be for loading, which opens onto a roof-walk over the porch. Each floor on the left side of the doors and on the east elevation has a 16-pane sash window. Additionally, there is a tall stair window with glazing bars on the south return.
