Description
No 19 Lowther Street is a warehouse and shop situated on a sloping site, built around 1782 with later additions and alterations. The building features wet-dashed rubble and has a graduated slate roof with a central gabled dormer and a stone chimney at the east end. It is three storeys high with an attic and consists of three symmetrical bays. The entrance includes a part-glazed double door and a rectangular fanlight, flanked by plate-glass windows, all set within a 19th-century corniced wooden surround. The central bay above the entrance is recessed and features a sash window on the first floor and a plank attic loading door in the dormer. Each upper floor has a sash window on either side, with all sashes including glazing bars.
