Description

This house dates from the late 17th or early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of painted rubble walls topped with a graduated greenslate roof and 20th-century brick chimney stacks. The building is two stories high and originally comprised four bays, with a former two-bay stable now incorporated as domestic space on the right. A 20th-century door is set in a plain opening towards the centre. Most windows are 20th-century casements with glazing bars, set within original painted stone surrounds, although the windows to the left of the entrance on both floors are 19th-century sash windows with glazing bars. A segmental-arched cart entrance is located on the right, alongside a 20th-century garage door featuring casements and painted stone surrounds. The building is listed for group value with Rose Cottage.
